With now over 15 years of teaching music in the menai Bangor Illawong area we have learnt that teaching piano is more than just walking someone through an instructional book.
Effective music tuition must include a focus on developing both the students technique as well as their understanding of musical principals and concepts. Over the years we have develop a wide range of teaching material that we use to help the student grow in both their technique and understanding. We then help the student apply their skills into their preferred musical style.
Nothing promotes growth in a music student more than sitting one on one with a great teacher. Youtube and online resources are great but they can never look over your shoulder and help with flaws in your technique or answer your question in a way that you can understand.
